Precision sheets + protective film GS 27 – EN AW 5083
If the technical prescription or the manufacturing process requires the use of high-precision machined sheets, then the right choice is the GS 27 sheet. From the point of view of processing and use, the lack of internal stresses, offers the possibility that mechanical processing (cutting, drilling, milling, etc.) to be done at increased speed, compared to a steel sheet having the same thickness. Thus, the manufacturing time of the respective device is reduced. Welding is possible by the TIG/MÍG process. Anodizing is excellent for both decorative and technical purposes. The high-precision sheets meet the rigorous requirements of size and shape tolerances, respectively of the norms prescribed by the manufacturer for the mechanical characteristics. Among the thick sheets sold by our company, the GS 27 sheet has the tightest tolerance field both for thickness (+/- 0.1 mm) and for flatness (max 0.15 – 0.35 mm/m), offering a special flatness of the surfaces of the quality material obtained by milling the faces and protecting them with foil.
– They are recommended for the execution of control panels, base plates, parts subjected to medium loads, etc.
– The faces of the sheets are milled and protected with foil, which leads to a decrease in the subsequent costs of finishing the parts made.
Thick sheets (plates) of EN AW 6082 – AlSi1MgMn – 3.2315
Aluminum alloy ENAW 6082 is an alloy with a wide range of uses. A very large variety of industrial profiles are made from this material (round, rectangular, drawn or extruded bars, profiles, sheets, etc.), profiles that meet the most demanding quality requirements and European quality standards, to permanently ensure optimal performance in use. The advantages of this universal alloy are highlighted especially when the finished products result from a technological process of chipping, followed by surface treatment.
Areas of use:
– ENAW 6082 alloy has a wide spread in the field of machine constructions, as well as in the field of welded constructions. It corresponds perfectly to the development of component parts subject to oscillating stresses, rotating parts, being used as base plates of various sub-assemblies. Casings for hydraulic pumps or component parts of hydraulic systems can be manufactured.
Workability:
- perform well at cutting (although the resulting continuous chip spiral) can be anodized, both natural and color, and in terms of weldability is recommended MIG / TIG.
Fairly good corrosion resistance in normal environment
Thick sheets (plates) from ENAW 2017 – AlCu4MgSi – 3.1325
Thick sheets (plates) of ENAW 7075 – AlZn5.5MgCu – 3.4365
Sheets from ENAW 7022 – AlZn5Mg3Cu – 3.4345
The ENAW 7022 alloy is recommended for the manufacture of parts that require stability in shape, machinability by cutting, high mechanical resistance.
AREAS OF USE:
– From this alloy can be made: base plates, guides, molds and tools for plastics, molds for blowing - eg: plastic bottles, component parts subject to high stresses.
BENEFITS:
– 40% higher cutting speed;
– faster heat exchange;
– longer life of cutting tools;
– higher surface quality.
SAVING TIME AND EXPENSES:
– The better machinability of the alloy leads to a higher machining speed compared to steel. This means a shorter manufacturing time, more efficient operation of CNC machines. Many times the finishing is no longer necessary due to the stability in shape.
HIGH PRODUCTIVITY
The increased thermal conductivity of the alloy leads to faster heating/cooling of the tools. Good heat distribution ensures a uniform mold temperature, thus shortening the production cycle. Recommended for the manufacture of parts used in the processing of plastics, where it is necessary that the surface of the tools can be treated by chrome plating or hard anodizing, etc. At the same time, the surfaces can be perfectly polished.
